About the GGHHA

The Glan Gwna Holiday Homes Association was formed over 20 years ago to promote the interests of member owners of holiday homes at the Glan Gwna Country Park.

The main aims are written out in the constitution and rules. The committee, elected from its members at an AGM, consult and discuss relevant matters with parties involved in the maintenance of the park, the services and amenities provided. Major issues are normally referred to members at an AGM or by referendum if a decision is needed mid-year.

Members are kept up to date with topical information through the newsletters, there being several each year. Subjects range from advice on insurance to standards for letting. All owners are advised to belong to the GGHHA as the GGHHA often represents owners to the site management, Glan Gwna Estates (GGE). More than half of the privately owned chalets are directly represented.

Membership subscriptions are £10 per year for the first chalet owned, due 1st March each year. The AGM is held at the park in October each year.

About 20 years ago the GGHHA found it necessary to form a management company, Caeathraw Management Services (CMS), to service the site chalets for letting through glossy brochures. CMS are sometimes referred to as the GGHHA's management company. CMS provide a 'hands off' letting service - many owners contract CMS to manage all aspects of the chalet, from painting to linen. You do not need to be a member of the GGHHA to use CMS services.

Potential buyers of chalets on the park may wish to contact the GGHHA to obtain impartial advice on the various deeds and leases that are available. CMS can act as chalet selling agents, chalets with short lease terms are also available from GGE (but they prefer to market static caravans).

Anyone wishing to join the GGHHA should contact a CMS representative on the park, or mail the web master (see index page).

Back issues of the GHHA newsletters are available to members via Email in MSword format (or specify alternative).
